Are post-graduate programs approved by the process? No, the CNO does not approve post-graduate programs. Only entry-level nursing programs are required to be approved. While Nurse Practitioner programs are considered post-graduate programs, they are entry-level programs required to be eligible to register in CNO’s Extended Class. https://www.cno.org/en/become-a-nurse/nursing-education-program-approval/ Taking additional education, however, will help you with your quality assurance program which reflects on additional learning and skills. Footcare nursing skills improve a nurse's quality of care. We give a certificate of completion. https://www.cno.org/en/myqa/ Every year the CNO picks nurses to audit. Certificates from Foot care nurse skills/workshops and courses could be used as education.
